Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Ability to work AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Understanding of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Willingness to obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days if not already certified
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food and beverage service
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails and beverage preparation
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with hotel/resort environment preferred
  • Valid Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain
  • Responsible Beverage Certified (TIPS/Title IV) preferred
  • Ability to serve guest needs through verbal interaction
  • At least 19 years of age

Job Duties

  • Curates craft cocktails and/or beverages to guest specifications
  • Describes all bar items including methods of preparation and prices
  • Uses proper shaking, mixing, and stirring techniques with bartending tools such as Boston shaker, bar spoon, beakers, jiggers, and strainers
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the surrounding area, events, and directions to enhance the guest local experience
  • Works with guests to accommodate special requests and dietary needs
  • Utilizes suggestive selling to maximize food and beverage revenues
  • Serves menu items promptly and courteously
  • Performs pre- and post-shift side work including setup, breakdown, and restocking
  • Responds to guest inquiries and complaints promptly, notifying supervisors as needed
  • Handles cash transactions, balances cash bank at end of shift, and calculates tip outs
  • Serves guests at assigned stations efficiently using appropriate service techniques
  • Observes guests to fulfill additional requests and completes assigned side work
  • Cleans service areas and accessories after events
  • Follows all food handling, TIPS, Title IV, sanitation, and health department guidelines
