Job Description

Salt Ranch is a reimagined mid-century motor inn nestled just beyond the core of East Nashville. This boutique resort combines the charm of a restored 1856 farmhouse with modern amenities such as poolside cabanas, offering guests a laid-back, soulful atmosphere that feels more like their favorite local hangout than a traditional hotel. Designed to be a neighborhood destination, Salt Ranch strives to create memorable experiences filled with good times and genuine hospitality. The property seamlessly blends historical character with contemporary style, making it a unique locale for both leisure and events in a vibrant, trendy part of Nashville.

As Salt Ranch prepares to open its doors, the establishment is searching for a dynamic and driven Resort Experience Manager to join its leadership team. This role is not your typical managerial position – it demands a hands-on leader who serves as the face of Salt Ranch both on-site and within the wider community. The Resort Experience Manager will work directly with the General Manager to oversee all outlet and property operations, ensuring flawless execution of daily activities and events. They will play a crucial part in recruiting, developing, and training a high-performing team committed to exceptional service standards.

In addition to operational oversight, the Resort Experience Manager will act as a key community liaison, tasked with actively networking to grow awareness of Salt Ranch and attract group and event opportunities. The role encompasses a broad responsibility for sales and marketing, including handling inbound inquiries and managing the sales cycle from lead nurturing to contract finalization. This requires excellent multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to outreach and relationship building.

The position involves a balanced split of time and duties: approximately 40 percent administrative and managerial tasks such as communication oversight, team development, ordering supplies, monitoring expenses, and developing sales and marketing collateral while ensuring financial goals are met. Around 35 percent of time is devoted to Manager on Duty responsibilities, including leading daily services or events and handling operational leadership on-site during shifts. The remaining 25 percent focuses on active community engagement and event prospecting—to secure, plan, and successfully execute group events and block bookings alongside the General Manager.

This is a prestigious opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader who is passionate about delivering top-tier service and driving the growth of a new boutique hotel property. It is also ideal for an ambitious rising star eager to learn every nuance of hotel operations and event management from the ground up. The role demands flexibility, resourcefulness, and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities, making it perfect for someone ready to wear many hats and make a significant impact from day one.

The Resort Experience Manager must be physically capable of the demands of the role, which include standing, sitting, and walking for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds safely, and pushing or pulling carts of similar weight. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for coordinating team efforts and maintaining thorough operational documentation. Additionally, the ability to administer first aid and direct evacuations during emergencies is required to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff. Salt Ranch offers a unique work environment that combines historical richness with vibrant community energy, making it an inspiring place for hospitality professionals to grow and excel.
