Job Description

The iconic Hotel del Coronado, one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world, is seeking a Resort Concierge Seasonal to join its team. Following a remarkable $400 million renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this beautiful 28-acre property has a rich history dating back to 1888. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
  • Minimum of 1 year high-level customer service or concierge experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service
  • At least 1 year of high-level customer service or concierge experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Preferred 2 years in customer service or concierge roles
  • Preferred 1 year of experience in hotels

Job Duties

  • Provide information, recommendations and booking services for a variety of guest inquiries, including directions, hours of outlet operation, hotel services, transportation and travel arrangements, tour and event tickets, restaurant reservations, and medical care
  • Process and deliver messages for guests
  • Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for guests as requested
  • Arrange and confirm recreational, business and dining activities both inside and outside the hotel for guests
  • Respond to special requests for services including dentists, doctors, child care, florists, etc.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner whether in person, via email, Kipsu or over the phone
  • Promote company marketing programs and distribute printed materials as needed
