The role available at the San Diego Job Corps Center is geared towards staff who will monitor and support students residing in the residential floors to ensure a safe and structured environment. This important position involves overseeing student compliance with the center’s rules and regulations, encouraging positive behavior and character development, and assisting in emergencies such as injury or illness. The staff member will be tasked with patrolling dormitories, assisting in recreational activities both on and off the center’s premises, and supporting cleanup and maintenance efforts. This position requires a compassionate attitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to foster an atmosphere conducive to the students’ development and well-being.

This job offers a wage of $21.00 per hour with various shift options including full-time 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:30 pm) and 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 8:00 am), along with part-time schedules. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year's related experience working with youth preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings and nights
  • Reliable transportation to and from the center if required
  • Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies
  • Strong communication and observation skills

Job Duties
