This role is pivotal in ensuring that The Ritz-Carlton "Gold Standards" are delivered thoughtfully and graciously every day. As a Guest Service Associate, you will be at the forefront of guest interaction, supplying guests and residents with directions and information about property amenities, services, operational hours, and nearby areas of interest and activities. This position requires polite and professional communication skills as you answer telephones, welcome guests, and assist with any inquiries or requests they may have.

The Guest Service Associate’s responsibilities include coordinating with other departments such as Bellperson, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security to promptly address guest issues or requests. Following up with guests to ensure their satisfaction is essential in maintaining the Ritz-Carlton's commitment to superior guest experiences. Accurate and complete message taking and relaying are vital responsibilities, along with ensuring security by promptly notifying Loss Prevention or Security of any reports of theft or suspicious activity.

Safety is a priority in this role where adhering to company policies and procedures is mandatory, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. The position demands maintaining a professional appearance, protecting proprietary company information, and safeguarding company assets. The role also involves performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving or lifting objects up to 10 pounds, which requires a degree of physical stamina.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures
  • Availability to work various shifts
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication skills

  • Basic computer and point of sale system proficiency

Job Duties

  • Supply guests and residents with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation
  • Contact appropriate individual or department to resolve guest call, request, or problem
  • Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction
  • Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly
  • Notify Loss Prevention or Security of any guest reports of theft
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
