Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. Situated in Tampa, Florida, the 1 Marriott Drive location hosts a variety of hospitality services under its expansive portfolio, including the ambitious and innovative EDITION Hotels brand. EDITION Hotels, an extraordinary boutique hotel brand that merges visionary design, luxurious amenities, and unforgettable service, caters to sophisticated guests who seek originality, design excellence, and personalized experiences without the constraints of convention. Marriott International prides itself on fostering an environment where employees from various backgrounds and cultures can thrive, embrace their uniqueness, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. The company is deeply committed to equal employment opportunities and aims to ensure a welcoming, respectful workplace that honors diversity and protects the rights of all team members. Employment at this location is full-time and classified as non-management, centered around engaging directly with guests and ensuring seamless guest services tailored to their individual needs.
The role focuses on providing specialized concierge and resident services at a prestigious residence facility, demanding multitasking skills related to property security, guest requests, and administrative responsibilities. As a key member of the Guest Services Operations and Rooms category, the incumbent will manage various important tasks such as responding promptly to residents' inquiries about visitor information, handling special service requests including transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning, and liaising with appropriate service providers to meet the unique needs of each resident. This position requires vigilance to monitor closed-circuit television systems, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire protection systems, ensuring safety and security is upheld throughout the property. The candidate will also be responsible for locking entrances as required and effectively acting as a night concierge and theft prevention representative.
A critical component of this job involves supporting the concierge team during break periods and responding to all calls, messages, and questions efficiently while documenting incidents meticulously and communicating these to subsequent shifts. The candidate must also manage difficult situations professionally by removing unwanted individuals from the property without disrupting operations. They are expected to handle accident or theft reports, request assistance using appropriate response codes, and act as a lobby ambassador, representing the property with professionalism and care.
The position demands strict adherence to the company’s safety policies and procedures, reporting any safety hazards or incidents, and completing all relevant safety training and certification programs to maintain compliance. Personal appearance should be neat and professional in alignment with company standards while safeguarding confidential company information and property. Collaboration with colleagues is key, ensuring respectful interactions and collective contribution toward achieving shared objectives and quality assurance goals.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift, move, and transport objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier loads, sustained periods of standing, walking, or sitting across entire shifts, navigating confined or uneven spaces, and demonstrating fine motor skills and coordination necessary for various manual tasks. Strong communication skills are essential to greet and converse with guests respectfully and clearly, using appropriate telephone etiquette. The candidate should remain alert to unauthorized individuals on the premises and be prepared to perform any additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Marriott International seeks individuals who are dynamic, engaging, and passionate about providing heartfelt service in an inspiring work setting. This full-time, non-management position offers the opportunity to join a vibrant team that values each member’s contribution and encourages professional growth in one of the world’s most influential hospitality companies. Embracing this role means becoming part of a global network that fosters personal and professional excellence while delivering a theatrical, highly praised guest experience at EDITION Hotels and beyond.
