Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton Residences Portland is a distinguished luxury residential property located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Known for its exceptional service, opulent accommodations, and prime location at 900 SW Washington St, The Ritz-Carlton Residences provides a refined living experience complemented by access to world-class amenities and personalized concierge services. This esteemed establishment is part of the globally recognized Ritz-Carlton brand, which is synonymous with luxury hospitality and the highest standards of customer service. With a commitment to excellence and creating unforgettable experiences, the property caters specifically to residence owners and their guests, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with elegance and precision.

The role available is a full-time, non-management position focused on Rooms & Guest Services Operations. As a member of The Ritz-Carlton Residences Portland team, the successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for residence owners and their guests, providing attentive, respectful, and efficient service. This position is essential in maintaining the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand, which emphasizes gracious and thoughtful service delivery every day.

In this role, you will respond promptly to requests for visitor information, special arrangements, or services such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning by coordinating appropriate providers. Your responsibilities will include managing access control by announcing all visitors, contractors, and others to residence owners before permitting entry, ensuring security and privacy. Handling all calls, messages, and inquiries with professionalism and routing them to the appropriate departments will also be a key aspect of your duties.

As part of the guest services team, you will assist owners with reservation services, elevator scheduling for move-ins and move-outs, and bell or valet service requests. Performing Lobby Ambassador duties entails reviewing shift logs, documenting critical information, and maintaining communication across departments to ensure seamless operations.

The role requires adherence to company policies on safety, appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection. Reporting incidents and participating in safety training is mandatory to uphold workplace standards. Your daily interactions must reflect the Ritz-Carlton commitment to personalized attention, whether assisting individuals with disabilities or anticipating service needs.

Strong communication skills are essential; you will use clear and professional language when speaking and writing, maintaining telephone etiquette and fostering positive working relationships with colleagues. The ability to comply with quality assurance standards and support your team to meet common goals is paramount.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and move objects up to 10 pounds. This position embodies the hospitality spirit that makes The Ritz-Carlton a leader in luxury living.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and at least one year of related customer service experience is preferred. Although no supervisory experience is required, a dedication to exceptional service, detail orientation, and teamwork are critical in this role.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences Portland is an equal opportunity employer committed to celebrating the diverse backgrounds and talents of its employees. It offers a supportive environment where creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion drive success. Joining this team means contributing to a brand that sets the global benchmark for luxury hospitality and creating lifelong memories for its residence owners and guests.
