Job Requirements

  • Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • previous hotel management experience required in housekeeping and/or front office
  • ability to read and interpret budgets and financial statements
  • must be knowledgeable in Word, Outlook and Excel
  • previous experience with hotel PMS and time and attendance systems
  • preference given to candidates with branded hotel experience (i.e. IHG, Marriott, Hilton)
  • must be willing to work a varied schedule that includes: days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • physical requirements of the position include: standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
  • bending, stooping, and reaching
  • pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs
  • and lifting up to 75 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • previous hotel management experience in housekeeping and/or front office
  • ability to read and interpret budgets and financial statements
  • knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
  • experience with hotel PMS and time and attendance systems
  • preference given to candidates with branded hotel experience (e.g. IHG, Marriott, Hilton)

Job Duties

  • Interviews, hires, trains and provides leadership to all associates
  • conducts performance appraisals and provides feedback to the associates
  • ensures all hotel staff, including new hires, know all components/features of our brand service standards and are trained to meet service standards
  • develops added value customer service programs
  • empowers hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance
  • analyzes financial and operation information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs
  • meets or exceeds budgeted profit and margin for hotel
  • ensures hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories and receivables, and that these procedures are regularly followed
  • produces accurate and timely financial reports
  • maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel
  • personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs
  • assist team leaders in meeting and exceeding brand service and quality goals
  • ensure that all managers are trained for their positions to maximize service, production and efficiency
  • clearly describe, assign, and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of various sub-departments under his/her supervision
  • ensures hotel standards contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service
  • ensures compliance with all brand standards
  • performs other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
