Job Description

The University of Saint Francis is a distinguished Catholic, Franciscan university located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Rooted in the liberal arts tradition, the institution is committed to the formation of the whole person, emphasizing not only academic achievement but also character development and faith formation. Recognized for its strong Catholic identity and Franciscan charism, the university offers an enriching educational environment that nurtures personal and spiritual growth alongside intellectual advancement. The institution's core values, inspired by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration, include Ceaseless Adoration, Generous Love, and Franciscan Joy. These values shape the university's culture and community, fostering a supportive and compassionate atmosphere where students and staff are encouraged to flourish in virtue, service, and joy.

The University of Saint Francis invites qualified individuals to apply for the Residence Hall Director position. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining and promoting the university's Catholic identity within its residential life, helping to cultivate a faith-filled, safe, and welcoming community. The Residence Hall Director will oversee Clare Hall and Bonzel Residence Halls, working closely with the Student Activities Council (SAC) and Campus Ministry to organize initiatives like Women’s Night. This role is vital in advancing the university's mission by integrating the Catholic, Franciscan mission and liberal arts tradition into the daily living and learning experiences of students.

Reporting directly to the Director of Residential Life, the Residence Hall Director will be central to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that supports the formation of the whole person. Responsibilities involve ensuring that the residence halls embody the university's commitment to integrity, compassion, humility, community engagement, personal spiritual development, and academic success. This position also requires collaborative efforts with other campus departments to enhance the residential experience, drive mission-related programming, and implement strategic plans aimed at enriching student life. The Residence Hall Director is expected to be a student-focused leader who champions the university's mission and helps students develop holistically in their personal, spiritual, and academic lives.

Applicants are encouraged to submit an online application accompanied by a cover letter, resume, and references, highlighting their qualifications and how they plan to support and advance the Catholic, Franciscan mission of the University of Saint Francis.
