Job Description

Delta Air Lines is a major American airline, known globally for its extensive network, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta operates thousands of flights daily and is one of the world's largest airlines by fleet size and passenger traffic. Delta prides itself on innovation, safety, and creating a positive experience for both customers and employees alike. The Irving, Texas location serves as a critical hub in Delta's operations, providing a strategic base for flight attendants and crew members to manage diverse routes efficiently and reliably.

This job opportunity is for a Reserve Flight Attendant position based in Irving, Texas. It offers professionals the chance to join a dynamic team in a flexible, on-call role designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced and unpredictable environments. The Reserve Flight Attendant is essential to ensuring that flights are staffed at all times, ready to meet sudden operational needs such as last-minute flight changes, crew absences, or weather disruptions. This is an excellent role for those seeking a career that combines adventure, service, and the chance to travel extensively.

As a Reserve Flight Attendant, you will not have a fixed monthly schedule but will instead be assigned on-call periods during which you must be prepared to deploy rapidly. You will need to maintain "mission readiness" by being packed, in uniform, and able to report to the airport within two to three hours when contacted. This requires a high degree of flexibility, resilience, and professionalism. You will work alongside various crew members, adapting quickly to new team environments while ensuring all safety protocols are met across multiple aircraft types, including Airbus A320, A350, Boeing 737, and 767 models.

The role demands impeccable customer service skills, as you will be the face of Delta to passengers who rely on your care and hospitality. Despite the spontaneous nature of your flying schedule, you are expected to deliver consistent, warm, and efficient service, including complex meal service execution. Your adaptability will be crucial in managing irregular schedules, extended layovers, and other operational challenges with a positive and professional demeanor.

Delta supports its Reserve Flight Attendants with competitive compensation ranging from $27 to $32 per hour, roughly translating to an annual salary of $61,900. This role offers financial stability through guaranteed base pay, ensuring a consistent income regardless of flight hours flown. Moreover, Reserve Flight Attendants have access to premium trip opportunities, allowing them to select high-value flights and enjoy layovers in exciting destinations around the globe.

In addition to competitive pay, Delta provides comprehensive benefits for its employees, including extensive healthcare coverage, dental insurance, vision plans, 401(k) retirement savings with company matching, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and a world-class employee travel program. This program enables flight attendants to travel anywhere worldwide on their days off, experiencing the perks of working for one of the leading airlines. Joining Delta means becoming part of a legacy of innovation, safety, and hospitality in the aviation industry.
