Job Description

U-Haul is a leading company specializing in do-it-yourself moving and storage solutions, with a rich history dating back to 1945. Founded by visionary entrepreneurs L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen, U-Haul was born out of a need for accessible, nationwide one-way moving equipment in the post-World War II era. The company transformed the traditional concept of mobility, evolving from pioneer covered wagons to the iconic orange U-Haul trailers known widely across North America. U-Haul's innovative business model distributes the cost of ownership among many users, enabling millions of households in the U.S. and Canada to move and transport goods conveniently and affordably.

Today, U-Haul Holding Company and its family of companies continue to uphold values centered around customer service, innovation, and community wellness. They provide a dynamic work environment that supports personal and professional growth for employees at all levels. The company is committed to fostering a culture of health and wellness and implements policies aimed at creating a safe, smoke-free workplace.

The role of Reservation Manager Agent at U-Haul is integral to the company’s operations, especially in supporting customers and field team members efficiently. This position functions under the direction of the Traffic Control Manager and demands a proactive, service-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced and ever-changing environments. The Reservation Manager Agent is responsible for managing customer reservations and the allocation of equipment across various U-Haul dealerships, ensuring optimal distribution based on customer demand and business productivity standards. This helps maintain balanced inventory levels across regions and supports U-Haul's commitment to high customer satisfaction.

In this role, the Reservation Manager Agent will interact directly with customers via calls, assisting with reservation placements and answering inquiries, while also coordinating with U-Haul’s field teams and dealership representatives. The successful candidate must be adept at reviewing and interpreting reports related to equipment placement and reservations, which are crucial for maintaining accuracy and availability of moving equipment and storage solutions such as U-Box portable storage products. This role requires excellent multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a customer-centered approach to problem-solving.

U-Haul offers its employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote well-being and financial security. Benefits include career stability, ample opportunities for growth within the company, reimbursement programs such as the Mindset App and gym memberships, health insurance and prescription plans for eligible employees, paid holidays and leave, life insurance, legal assistance programs, discounts on popular tech and service products, a 401(k) savings plan, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Additional coverage option includes dental and vision plans, business travel insurance, employee assistance programs, identity theft protection, and accessible pediatric physician support around the clock.

By joining U-Haul as a Reservation Manager Agent, candidates will become part of a historic and forward-looking company dedicated to quality service and innovative moving solutions. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a rewarding career in a supportive and growth-oriented environment while helping customers and teams navigate their relocation needs effectively and efficiently.
