Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, recreation management, hospitality, or related field
  • five years of professional experience in rental or event management
  • two years of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • valid Michigan Driver's License
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within one year from date of hire
  • ServSafe Food Manager and Alcohol Certification or ability to obtain within one year from date of hire
  • Michigan TIPS Certification or ability to obtain within six months from date of hire

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee facility rentals and event coordination for the Parks and Recreation Department
  • manage reservations and scheduling
  • supervise rental staff and coordinate their activities
  • ensure facility upkeep and maintenance
  • enforce safety protocols during events and daily operations
  • partner with community organizations to develop and implement marketing initiatives that promote rental opportunities
  • allocate resources efficiently to meet event and facility needs
