  • Ability to obtain Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist certification within six months of hire
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be bondable

Job Duties

  • Maintain knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
  • Manage mail out and receipt of recertification packets for program participants
  • Receive and review client information including completeness of recertification packets and verifications
  • Advise clients on certification documentation process via telephone, correspondence, and in person
  • Maintain secure access to program software and follow security protocols
  • Check-in, sort, distribute, and scan mail and faxes to client files
  • Receive and direct visitors and clients
  • Handle requests for information and data
  • Process correspondence from Rental Assistance area by sorting, scanning, or distributing
  • Provide relief for the Receptionist
  • Create and maintain written procedures for work processes
  • Review and maintain document image files
  • Provide information for reports related to duties
  • Answer phones, retrieve messages, and respond to communications promptly
  • Maintain interview rooms and supplies
