Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with occupational health and safety programs
  • Ability to conduct safety investigations
  • Strong knowledge of safety laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel 60 percent
  • Ability to work independently and with teams

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners

Job Duties

  • Analyze status reports to determine trends and develop action plans to reduce financial impact
  • Focus on units experiencing increased injury trends and provide solutions for improvement
  • Utilize financial and worker injury reports to determine areas of focus
  • Respond to customer concerns regarding health and safety
  • Facilitate contractor orientation classes
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards through facility inspections and provide management with recommendations
  • Support ongoing safety awareness programs and incentive initiatives to promote safe work environments
  • Assist Compass Risk Management Department with loss prevention and control programs
  • Provide bi-lingual safety training and presentations to employees
  • Conduct safety audits and job safety analysis reviews
