Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Clear and understandable verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with FAA JO 7110.65 desired
  • Experience or certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation labs preferred
  • Basic knowledge of pilot-controller communications or phraseology desired

Job Duties

  • Operate simulated radar display and voice communication systems during training exercises
  • Respond promptly to voice commands from student air traffic controllers
  • Input accurate entries that simulate pilot actions into the automated system
  • Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
  • Utilize proper FAA phraseology during communications
  • Complete required certifications and maintain proficiency
  • Work scheduled shifts including evenings and days
