Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Certification in food safety preferred
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
- Physical ability to handle kitchen tasks efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Previous history in the kitchen or a relevant culinary setting
- Deep understanding of food preparation principles and diverse cooking methods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is vital
- Obtain certification in food safety, if not yet achieved
- Primary mathematical skills and numeral counting proficiencies
- Demonstrates excellence in communication and teamwork abilities
- Preferably, individuals should possess a high school diploma or a similar qualification, but it is not compulsory
Job Duties
- Follow production guidelines and standardized recipes to cook and serve meals
- Arrange workstations with all the essential ingredients and equipment needed
- Handle ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, mixing, and similar actions
- Employ safe practices while using a variety of kitchen tools and appliances, such as knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers
- Cook and prepare meals using a combination of techniques including baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming
- Serve and plate food following set criteria to ensure visual standards are met
- Adhere to the specified food safety procedures and store food appropriately
- Keep kitchen areas, implements, and utensils sanitized and free from pathogens
- Offer outstanding customer care and exude a positive outlook
- Observe and uphold Aramark's safety and sanitation standards
- Safeguard the well-being of company resources
