Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Six months of full-time equivalent related professional work experience
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Bicultural/multicultural skills for appropriate behaviors during interactions
- Flexible work schedule including evenings and/or weekends
- Availability to work onsite as requested
- Possession and maintenance of valid Oregon, Washington, or Idaho residency
- Successful completion of background inquiry including criminal, driving, credit and full background checks as applicable
- Provision of official transcripts if requested
- Use of personal vehicle for transportation between campus locations as necessary

- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Knowledge of current office equipment
- Skills in using a computer and related software applications

- Skills in interpersonal interaction with coworkers, supervisors and the public
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient for workplace behavior adjustments
- Preferred associate's degree from an accredited institution
- Preferred coursework in office administration and/or banking
- Preferred two years of full-time experience in a public relations/customer service environment with clerical and cashiering responsibilities
- Preferred word processing and computerized record keeping experience
- Preferred Banner software experience
- Preferred bilingual English/Spanish language skills
Job Duties
- Registers and enrolls students using administrative software system (Banner)
- processes add/drops
- builds and updates student records
- uses Slate software to process student applications for specific academic programs
- reviews, approves and processes Administrative Add/Drop requests
- processes enrollment verifications
- distributes and intakes forms as needed
- Actively participates in the Petitions for Exception to College Policy process
- reviews petitions, researches documentation and student status
- follows up with students to obtain additional information
- makes informed recommendations to the committee
- prepares summary outcome for student and updates Banner
- Determines, verifies, and tracks student tuition and financial aid refund amounts
- processes refunds based on college guidelines
- Provides tracking and follow up on SSN/ITIN solicitation documents and responds to student inquiries
- updates Banner and other third party databases when SSN/ITIN is received
- Provides tracking and follow up on annual IRS Tuition Statements (1098Ts)
- responds to student inquiries and concerns
- researches student accounts to clarify amounts reported
- Alerts System Analyst or Director for complex issues
- Receives monies and processes accounting transactions using Banner and Nelnet (Enterprise) software
- posts charges and applies payments to student accounts
- maintains and balances cash till
- prepares deposits
- disburses checks
- processes refunds
- Researches problems with student or accounting records and makes correcting entries
- prepares summary reports
- Provides assistance to college department staff in cashiering functions
- recommends processes to post transactions and corrections
- assists in reconciliation and troubleshooting
- Provides general college and departmental information by phone and in person
- assists with clerical tasks as necessary
- Assists in archiving department materials including boxing, labeling, transporting, and organizing to maximize space
- Embraces diversity and collaborates with diverse students, staff and public
- Participates in recruitment and retention efforts to promote student success
- Uses technology tools efficiently to accomplish job functions
- Provides high-quality service through continuous improvement and lean office practices
