As a Professional Staff Nurse at Good Samaritan Medical Center, you play a critical role in delivering comprehensive nursing care in a full-time, daytime position. This role is designed for compassionate, patient-focused nursing professionals committed to enhancing patient health and well-being. The nurse will work under the guidance and supervision of the Director or a designee, providing direct and indirect patient care and participating in various clinical duties. In this role, nurses are responsible for systematically assessing the physical, psychosocial, educational, and developmental needs of patients. They develop and implement detailed nursing care plans based on thorough assessment data, ensuring that patients and families receive essential education and guidance regarding the care process and recovery.
Day-to-day responsibilities include diligent documentation and communication regarding patient activities, needs, and evaluations of treatment effectiveness. Nurses must demonstrate leadership abilities, effectively coordinating patient care and collaborating with healthcare team members. Job Requirements
- 0 to less than 6 months experience
- Licensed registered nurse, State of Florida
- BLS certification by AHA
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment/transfer
- Basic EKG knowledge
- Successful completion of GSMC medication test
- Successful completion of GSMC EKG test

Job Duties
- Assess physical, psychosocial, educational, and growth and development needs of the patient
- Develop a written plan of care using assessment data and provide teaching and guidance to patient and/or family as well as staff members
- Implement nursing plan of care on assigned patients and communicate and document patient activities, needs and assessments
- Evaluate the patient's response to interventions/teaching
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Perform variety of direct and indirect patient care duties
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
