The position of RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care at Wellstar is a vital role within the health system’s interdisciplinary team. The nurse acts as a proactive and skilled clinical professional who attends to the individual needs of patients, families, and significant others by providing high-quality and safe patient care. Supported by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model and guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, this role embraces evidence-based practice and concentrates on continual professional development and excellence. Nurses in this role work under the leadership of nurse managers and alongside licensed and unlicensed caregivers in a dynamic and supportive clinical environment. They are licensed professionals who adhere strictly to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association's Code of Ethics, and the scope of nursing practice standards. The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is responsible for ensuring the voice of the patient is heard, advocating for patient-centered care, and promoting service excellence aligned with Wellstar’s core values.

Job Requirements
- Associates nursing degree or diploma
- valid RN license or RN-Compact
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification or provisional ACLS within 180 days
- less than one year completion of accredited nursing program with required clinical hours
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to function effectively under pressure
- excellent time management and critical thinking skills
- proficiency in English
- basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing or nursing diploma required
- bachelors degree in nursing preferred
- valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
- current BLS certification
- current ACLS certification or provisional ACLS within 180 days
- less than one year experience with clinical hours in an accredited nursing program
- direct patient care experience preferred
- strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
- proficiency in English language and basic computer skills
