Job Requirements

  • Education to a minimum of associate degree level or relevant equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years facilities management experience in hospitality or related industry
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle availability
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Capability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field or a four-year college degree with at least one year of related management experience or a two-year college degree with three or more years of related management experience
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
  • Skilled in facilities maintenance including chemical handling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and small appliance repair
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written and oral instructions
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience operating equipment such as pool/spa filter pumps, hand and power tools, leaf blowers, sweepers, and pressure washers
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance

Job Duties

  • Oversee hotel PIP renovations, preventative maintenance, capital planning, and capital project execution
  • Support all hotels with repairs and maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and furniture repair or replacement
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance tracking systems
  • Manage all aspects of capital projects from initiation to completion including reporting and documentation
  • Assist in the development of annual capital budget plans for properties
  • Supervise outside contractors to ensure contract fulfillment
  • Conduct property assessments both in-person and virtually
  • Communicate with General Managers regarding compliance inspections and elevator contracts
  • Oversee and delegate responsibilities to assistant engineering and maintenance staff
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies
  • Promote energy management initiatives and track preventative maintenance activities
  • Lead training and mentoring programs for maintenance departments
  • Conduct property audits using standardized assessment formats
  • Provide task force coverage during engineering vacancies
  • Travel up to 80% by air or car as required
  • Participate in hiring processes for engineering and maintenance personnel
  • Support emergency response training and safety for hotel teams
