Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of progressive facilities management experience in hotel or related field
  • Or a four-year college degree with at least one year of management experience
  • Or a two-year college degree with three or more years of related management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler operations
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field
  • Or a four-year college degree and at least one year of related management experience
  • Or a two-year college degree and three or more years of related management experience
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Strong communication and professionalism with guests, vendors, and other departments
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and people diplomatically
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Facilities maintenance knowledge including chemical handling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and small appliance repair
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Able to work independently
  • Skilled in operation of pool/spa pumps, hand and power tools, leaf blower, sweeper, pressure washer
  • Ability to solve complex mathematical problems
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills required

Job Duties

  • Hotel PIP renovations, preventative maintenance, capital planning, and capital project execution
  • Support all hotels to ensure repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment and assets are performed as scheduled or requested
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance tracking systems across all hotels
  • Manage all aspects of capital projects including reporting and documentation
  • Support SVP Facilities in developing annual capital budget plans
  • Maintain hotel grounds and building conditions
  • Supervise outside contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Hold properties accountable for performing preventative maintenance per schedule
  • Assist with supply ordering and departmental monitoring
  • Train and review key control policy with General Managers
  • Conduct property assessments in person and virtually
  • Communicate with General Managers about fire safety inspections, compliance, and elevator contracts
  • Compile annual capital budgets with bids for owners
  • Know and enforce hotel emergency procedures
  • Oversee emergency response and safety training
  • Perform assigned special capital projects within deadline
  • Supervise ACOMs, ADOEs, and COMs
  • Establish processes, procedures, and PM schedules for each property
  • Train and supervise management teams and technicians
  • Participate in hiring for facilities staff
  • Coordinate property visits including emergency visits
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies
  • Promote energy management initiatives
  • Track preventative maintenance activities via software
  • Lead training and mentoring programs for maintenance teams
  • Conduct annual property audits and report findings
  • Assist in budgeting and planning
  • Provide task force coverage during vacancies
  • Travel up to 80% by air or car
