Job Requirements

  • Education level corresponding to experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical proficiency with maintenance and repair
  • Problem-solving and reasoning ability
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel up to 80 percent

Job Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related management experience, or a 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related management experience
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Effective communication with departments, guests, and vendors
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance including chemical handling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and small appliance repair
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to work independently
  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee hotel PIP renovations, preventative maintenance, capital planning, and capital project execution
  • Support performance of all required repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment and assets
  • Develop, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance tracking system
  • Manage all aspects of capital projects including reporting and documentation
  • Assist in the development of annual capital budget plans
  • Support maintenance of hotel grounds and building
  • Supervise outside contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met
