Job Requirements

Education level corresponding to experience
Strong communication skills
Technical proficiency with maintenance and repair
Problem-solving and reasoning ability
Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Ability to travel up to 80 percent

Job Qualifications

5 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related management experience, or a 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related management experience
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
Effective communication with departments, guests, and vendors
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of facilities maintenance including chemical handling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and small appliance repair
Strong problem-solving abilities
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Ability to work independently
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills

Job Duties

Oversee hotel PIP renovations, preventative maintenance, capital planning, and capital project execution
Support performance of all required repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment and assets
Develop, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance tracking system
Manage all aspects of capital projects including reporting and documentation
Assist in the development of annual capital budget plans
Support maintenance of hotel grounds and building
Supervise outside contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met
