Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Safety Management or similar field
  • at least 6 years professional field experience in safety
  • past successful experience in the construction industry is preferred
  • ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • travel at least 50-75 percent of the time including outside of assigned region
  • live within 45-minute commute to an airport offering domestic flights

  • at least 6 years professional field experience in safety
  • past successful experience in the construction industry is preferred

Job Duties

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and programs across all locations in the region
  • conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments at branch locations and job sites
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • compile data within assigned locations to identify unhealthy trends that can be mitigated by early intervention
  • lead investigations of workplace accidents, near-misses, property damage, and vehicle incidents
  • identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • maintain accurate documentation of incidents, training records, and safety inspections
  • partner with operations to integrate safety into daily work activities and business decisions
  • support regional leadership with safety communications, safety stand-downs, and weekly safety meetings
  • apply working knowledge and understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry Standards) to evaluate workplace conditions, equipment use, and employee practices
  • promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees at all levels and reinforcing safe work practices
