Job Requirements
- Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulates
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the workweek
- Personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes) required
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and color vision
- Good sense of balance and eye-hand-foot coordination
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years diversified experience in safety, environmental compliance, HR, operations/administration in a manufacturing or distribution facility
- Proven track record of building strong relationships within an organization
- Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
- OSHA 40 training preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Job Duties
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement key HSE programs and initiatives at the plant/facility level
- Lead and ensure regional compliance with all applicable standards, policies, licensing/certification requirements, and regulatory initiatives
- Provide guidance and direction to managers on HSE and environmental compliance issues
- Conduct or assist with investigations of reported or identified violation allegations
- Deliver role-related training at the local level and support company training initiatives
- Drive leading indicator safety programs such as Near Miss reporting
- Develop, implement, and drive risk mitigation strategies based on safety data and trends
- Travel extensively to facility locations supporting management in remediation of compliance gaps
