Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services. Known for its commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer-focused experiences, Aramark operates across a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, business, sports, and leisure. With a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, Aramark fosters a supportive environment where employees are empowered and respected. The company prohibits discrimination on any legally protected basis, ensuring a fair and inclusive workplace for everyone. This philosophy drives Aramark's mission to create tailored dining experiences that meet and exceed client and customer expectations, promoting a dynamic and rewarding work culture throughout its operations.

The role of Regional Food Service Manager at Aramark is a critical leadership position responsible for managing dining solutions that align with patron preferences across multiple locations within a region. This role entails overseeing and running dining areas where patrons place orders for prepared cuisine, ensuring all operations meet Aramark’s high standards of service, quality, safety, and sanitation. The manager is charged with implementing Aramark’s coaching model to engage with and develop team members, fostering a motivated and productive staff capable of achieving both individual and team objectives.

Regional Food Service Managers must lead daily team briefings to ensure clear communication and alignment with service goals, while also maintaining a sharp focus on client relationships by identifying customer needs and communicating operational progress effectively. Financial acumen is essential in this role, as the manager is responsible for completing and maintaining profit and loss (P and L) statements, driving client and company financial targets, and adhering to Operational Excellence fundamentals regarding food and labor cost initiatives. Supervising production, quality control, and compliance across the team also falls within their purview, ensuring that all dining operations align with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

In addition to operational duties, Regional Food Service Managers play a vital part in cultivating strong client and customer connections, utilizing Aramark’s approved service methodology to deliver outstanding service consistently. They must also coordinate effectively with multiple departments to provide a cohesive food service delivery experience. The role occasionally requires physical activities such as handling, moving, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds and tolerating prolonged periods of standing, reflecting the active nature of food service management.

Aramark values candidates with at least one year of supervisory experience and prefers individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to create mutually beneficial business relationships are key to success in this position. The company’s commitment to employee growth means that this role is supported by comprehensive training and development programs including leadership development, skills training, and career advancement workshops, all aimed at fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement. This comprehensive approach ensures that the Regional Food Service Manager not only drives operational success but also contributes positively to the overall growth and reputation of Aramark.
