Job Requirements

  • high school diploma
  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • minimum 2-5 years experience coordinating food service operations
  • demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams
  • strong initiative
  • effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • skill in use of basic office equipment
  • ability to travel frequently

Job Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in food service operations coordination

Job Duties

  • support and apply company and facility policies and procedures to ensure high quality service at lowest cost
  • work with dietitians to meet federal and state requirements
  • cultivate and maintain business partnerships with clients
  • establish and maintain quality assurance and assessment processes
  • participate in food service-related committees and special events
  • plan and develop operational budgets and manage financial objectives
  • review financial results and adjust operations accordingly
  • develop weekly financial plans including sales, menu, production, purchases, inventory, and labor productivity
  • educate and mentor Food Service Directors in financial processes
  • ensure adherence to accounting practices and timelines
  • assist with new business bids, contract negotiations, proposal writing, and account transitions
  • conduct audits on food production, sanitation, purchasing, inventories, safety, payroll, and human resources compliance
  • enforce company policies and corrective actions
  • conduct training and development assessments
  • communicate and develop goals with Food Service Directors
  • support training and development of employees
  • ensure compliance with company systems daily
