The Regional Food Service Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing multiple food service facilities within the region to ensure smooth operations, financial success, and exemplary client service. This leadership role involves direct supervision of facility Food Service Directors, guiding them in implementing effective operational strategies, financial management, and human resource policies. The director will actively work with corporate and onsite dietitians to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role includes cultivating strong business partnerships by understanding and aligning with client and customer needs and expectations.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing operational budgets for each unit, performing financial reviews, and ensuring cost control without sacrificing service quality. The Regional Food Service Director will lead quality assurance initiatives such as inspections and client satisfaction surveys to maintain high standards. Participation in food service committees and special events is essential for demonstrating the company's commitment to clients and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Financial oversight requires proficiency in reviewing sales, menu and production records, food purchases, inventory control, and labor productivity to meet budget targets.
