With a strong commitment to integrity, honesty, and transparency, LCS fosters an inclusive and collaborative culture where employees are valued and supported. Known for its innovative approach and community involvement, LCS has been recognized as a Top Workplace in the USA and Iowa, reflecting its reputation as an employer of choice in the senior living industry. The company’s principles and hospitality promises shape a positive work environment where employees have numerous opportunities to grow professionally, engage in meaningful volunteer activities, and contribute to the well-being of the seniors they serve.
The Regional Director, Food & Beverage at LCS plays a pivotal role in elevating the dining and hospitality experience across multiple senior living communities. This position is instrumental in transforming traditional dining services into luxury, resort-quality experiences that are a hallmark of the resident lifestyle. The role demands a visionary leader who can blend innovation, service excellence, and operational efficiency to create memorable and personalized dining encounters that delight residents and position LCS as a distinguished brand in senior living hospitality.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Regional Director oversees a portfolio of communities, setting and maintaining elevated culinary and service standards aligned with luxury hotel and resort expectations. This leader partners closely with community leadership to ensure hospitality strategies reflect the LCS brand and enhance resident satisfaction. A focus on rigorous quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement ensures all food and beverage operations meet federal, state, and local regulations, especially in healthcare settings governed by CMS guidelines.
In this role, the Regional Director champions culinary innovation by designing distinctive dining concepts that incorporate current trends, global influences, and wellness-oriented nutrition. The portfolio features a variety of dining venues from casual to fine dining, tailored to engage and delight residents. The director also supports new developments, renovations, and operational repositioning to optimize kitchen design and service flow, underscoring the importance of experiential dining.
Talent management is a critical element of success for the Regional Director. They are responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top hospitality talent from luxury hotel, resort, and fine dining backgrounds. By mentoring dining leaders and promoting a culture of excellence and personalized service, they instill a hospitality-first mindset throughout the teams. Continuous training, immersive site visits, and strategic coaching are utilized to elevate performance across all communities.
Financial stewardship is equally important, with the director overseeing budget and performance metrics to balance elevated guest experiences with disciplined cost management and profitability. Strategic initiatives to enhance revenue, control labor and product costs, and leverage procurement efficiencies are key areas of focus. This role requires a leader with strong business acumen and the ability to navigate the complexities of multi-unit profit and loss management while delivering premium quality standards.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field, with advanced degrees and certifications in healthcare administration, food safety, or regulatory compliance considered a plus. Extensive experience—8 or more years—in senior leadership roles within luxury hospitality or healthcare dining is preferred, especially in senior living or hospital settings. A deep understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical nutrition, and service delivery within regulated environments is essential to ensuring survey readiness and compliance.
With a salary range of $113,000 to $141,000 and significant travel requirements (50-75%), this position offers a dynamic and impactful leadership opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about delivering world-class dining experiences in a caring, community-focused environment. LCS is committed to equal employment opportunities and offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing career development opportunities to support their team’s success.
