Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience working in a cooking or kitchen environment
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • physical fitness to perform demanding tasks
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
  • understanding of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • knowledge of food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • physical capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare a variety of dishes
  • prepare workstation with all necessary tools and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel food items
  • safely use utensils including knives
  • operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machines
  • utilize cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine based on established standards
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • ensure sanitary and germ-free work environment
  • provide excellent customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • comply with Aramark safety and sanitation protocols
  • uphold safety measures for organizational resources
