- prior experience in a cooking or kitchen role
- willingness to obtain food safety certification
- ability to follow standardized recipes and production instructions
- physical capability for kitchen duties including lifting and standing
- good communication skills
- flexibility to adapt duties across different locations
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
- knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods
- understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
- ready workstations with required tools and ingredients
- measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel food items
- safely use utensils including knives and handle kitchen appliances
- apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- structure, enhance, and portion cuisine following established regulations
- maintain food quality and safety through proper storage and sanitation
- uphold sanitary and germ-free work environments
- ensure top-notch customer service and maintain a cheerful demeanor
- comply with food safety and organizational safety protocols
