In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of dishes following standardized recipes and production instructions. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients accurately while ensuring safe use of kitchen appliances and utensils. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or culinary experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to handle kitchen demands
  • Willingness to comply with safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities to meet client requirements and operational needs at different Aramark locations
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • Ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Handle ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, mixers, and other appliances
  • Use cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meals
  • Portion cuisine based on established regulations
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage methods
  • Ensure sanitary and germ-free work environment
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain approachable demeanor
  • Comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain organizational resource safety measures
