Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • Willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks
  • Commitment to follow safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities according to client requirements and operational needs at different locations
  • Prepare food following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • Ready workstations with all required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • Employ cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • Ensure workspace, tools, and utensils are sanitary
  • Deliver excellent customer service maintaining a friendly demeanor
  • Comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain safety measures for organizational resources
