Job Description

Premier Transportation is a respected leader in the regional trucking industry, known for its commitment to driver satisfaction, safety, and reliable service. With a robust network spanning key states including Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, Premier offers regional Class A CDL drivers a prime opportunity to grow their careers while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The company prides itself on creating a culture of support on and off the road, ensuring that drivers are valued not just for their work but as essential members of the team. Premier's dedication to safety, quality equipment, and driver-first policies establishes it as a top choice for professional drivers looking for stability and respect in the freight transportation sector.

The Regional Class A CDL Driver position at Premier Transportation is designed for experienced drivers who possess a Class A CDL license and have at least one year of tractor-trailer experience. Drivers must be at least 22 years old to qualify. This is a regional driving position, meaning drivers cover routes primarily throughout Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The routes involve daily hauls averaging 400-600 miles and weekly totals typically ranging from 2500 to 3000 miles. Start times for shifts generally fall between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., with a five-day workweek that may include some weekends during peak seasons.

Premier offers competitive pay structured at $0.50 per mile plus a $20 stop pay. This compensation plan allows drivers to earn gross weekly wages between $1,500 and $1,700, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding hard work and reliability. Beyond pay, drivers benefit from late-model equipment, no slip seating policies, and routes designed to be driver-friendly, providing a safer and more comfortable driving experience. Premier’s approach to scheduling and operations takes into account both operational efficiency and the well-being of its drivers, ensuring a sustainable and enjoyable career path.

For drivers who own their trucks, Premier also offers owner-operator opportunities with earnings potential up to $250,000 annually. Owner-operators can benefit from a flexible schedule, company-paid auto liability insurance, and no trailer fees. This segment allows experienced owner-operators to take full control of their schedules and maximize their income potential with the support of a trusted carrier.

The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package that addresses the full spectrum of driver needs, including dental, health, vision, and life insurance, alongside a 401(k) retirement plan. Additional perks include holiday, vacation, detention, and stop-off pay, all designed to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of every driver. Premier Transportation further incentivizes driver safety and cleanliness with bonuses such as a $100 Clean Inspection Bonus with no limit, a $100 Monthly Safety Bonus, a $1,000 Annual Longevity Bonus, and a $1,200 Referral Bonus for regional and over-the-road positions.

Joining Premier Transportation as a Regional Class A CDL Driver means becoming part of a company that prioritizes driver success, supports professional growth, and values the balance between work and life. This role is ideal for those who seek a dependable regional driving career with comprehensive support, competitive earnings, and the opportunity to advance within a driver-focused organization.
