The Regional Business Manager role is a key position focused on business expansion within the Pacific Northwest, specifically in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. This role is essential in developing strong operator partnerships and driving new business acquisition across Nestlé's culinary and beverage portfolio. As a Regional Business Manager, the individual will be accountable for creating and executing annual business plans aligned with overarching company and customer strategies to meet or exceed aggressive sales targets. The position requires collaboration with internal Nestlé sales teams and external food brokers, emphasizing a team-oriented approach to achieving business objectives.
Located in Seattle, Washington, the role requires dynamic travel commitments within the territory, approximating 40 to 60 percent of the time. The Regional Business Manager will engage in several critical initiatives including negotiating contracts, managing sales pipelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting distributors within the Pacific Northwest region. This role offers an approximate salary range of $115,000 to $150,000, reflecting the high level of responsibility and expertise expected. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years in direct outside sales, B2B or business development experience
- 6+ years experience in market planning, foodservice, hospitality, and/or beverage
- 5+ years negotiating complex agreements
- ability to travel 40-60% within the territory
- based in Seattle, Washington
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with Salesforce and sales pipeline management
- legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided)
Job Qualifications
- 6+ years in direct outside sales, B2B or business development experience
- 6+ years experience in market planning, foodservice, hospitality, and/or beverage
- 5+ years negotiating complex agreements
- astute financial awareness, including P&L responsibility
- experience creating profitable customer bids and business plans
- ability to articulate business results with a deep knowledge the role has on the business
- deep industry knowledge of key segments to include, but not limited to: Business & Industry, College & University, Healthcare, Lodging, Military, Travel, Restaurant, Retail and Grocery
Job Duties
- Drive new business acquisition across the full culinary and beverage portfolio within the Pacific Northwest territory
- align sales proposals and product solutions to the operational needs of targeted operators
- meet or exceed all defined sales performance objectives and key metrics for the assigned territory
- demonstrate transparency and accountability across all business activities, ensuring timely and accurate updates within Salesforce
- build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to unlock new operator opportunities
- stay informed of all customer related developments including competitive activity, operational changes, financial shifts, and organizational updates
- translate strategic direction and category plans into actionable operator-level plans that drive incremental sales and territory growth
- collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, marketing, distribution, commercial development, and equipment/technical service teams to deliver best-in-class customer solutions
- lead execution of product priorities, new product introductions, and seasonal limited-time offers (LTOs)
- negotiate and execute contract agreements and initiatives designed to win new operator business
- assess and recommend optimal annual operator trade spend
- administer Exceedra contracts
- provide guidance to distributors on regional sales opportunities and ensure proper product stocking
- serve as a key resource to distributors headquartered within the Pacific Northwest
- manage full sales pipeline with a focus on identifying gaps, evaluating opportunities, and implementing corrective action plans
