Job Requirements
- High school education preferred but not required
- Previous barista or cafe experience preferred hospitality or spa environment a plus
- Must have a TABC certificate and Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced service oriented environment
- Must be available for a flexible work schedule including early mornings weekends and holidays
- Must be able to accurately and securely manage a cash bank
- Must have excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to perform physical duties including standing walking lifting up to 50 lbs kneeling and reaching overhead
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Must exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school education preferred but not required
- Previous barista or cafe experience preferred hospitality or spa environment a plus
- Familiarity with coffee espresso equipment and smoothie preparation
- Friendly professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced service oriented environment
- Ability to ring tickets on computerized Point of Sale system
- Ability to accurately and securely manage a cash bank making change for purchases and performing standardized accounting cash closing procedures
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to learn food and beverage preparation procedures
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
- Availability for a flexible work schedule including early mornings weekends and holidays
- Friendly and professional demeanor with customers and coworkers at all times
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service ensuring total customer satisfaction
Job Duties
- Provide a welcoming greeting to members and guests informing them about specials or new items answering questions and processing orders and payments
- Prepare foods such as baked goods bagging blending smoothies brewing coffee and tea preparing made to order coffees following recipes and serving items to customers according to order maintaining quality and presentation consistency
- Clean and restock work and dining areas empty trash and sanitize equipment and utensils
- Update signage and displays
- Take inventory and replenish items in display coolers and behind the counter
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned
