The company headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and it employs tens of thousands of aviation professionals, including flight attendants, pilots, engineers, and customer service representatives. Delta prides itself on fostering a dynamic and inclusive culture where employees are empowered to deliver outstanding passenger experiences and contribute to the airline's success through innovation and teamwork. The company is highly regarded for its comprehensive benefits packages, ongoing employee development programs, and a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency, making it a top choice for aviation professionals globally.
This opportunity is for the position of Reserve Flight Attendant based in Plano, Texas, which serves as a significant hub within the aviation industry. The role offers a contract-based, gig employment structure with hourly compensation ranging from $32 to $38, approximately $72,800 annually, making it financially rewarding for individuals ready to embrace the unique challenges and excitement of a dynamic flight schedule. As a Reserve Flight Attendant, candidates will not have a fixed flying schedule but will instead be assigned on-call periods during which they must be ready to deploy at short notice to cover flights that require immediate staffing due to unforeseen events such as weather disruptions, crew illnesses, or changes in aircraft deployment.
This job demands a high level of flexibility and adaptability, where the flight attendant must maintain readiness to report to the airport within a two-to-three-hour window while in uniform and fully prepared. The role involves working across a variety of aircraft types, including Airbus A320, A350, Boeing 737, and 767, requiring thorough knowledge of different safety protocols to ensure compliance and passenger safety. Despite the irregular schedule, the Reserve Flight Attendant must consistently deliver Delta's renowned standard of hospitality with warm, empathetic service and handle complex in-flight meal service efficiently.
The position is ideal for aviation professionals who thrive in an environment of unpredictability, enjoy travel, and desire a role that offers both challenge and adventure. It provides opportunities for guaranteed base pay, premium trips to exotic destinations, and access to Delta's extensive standby travel network for personal travel. The role also features access to comprehensive healthcare coverage and a 401(k) retirement plan, aligning financial security with career flexibility. This Reserve Flight Attendant position supports Delta's mission to connect people and communities around the world while delivering safety and comfort every step of the way.
