Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree from accredited college or university
  • minimum three years full-time work experience in recreation or related field
  • valid Nevada or border state driver's license
  • ability to acquire licenses and certifications within 3 to 6 months
  • willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol testing

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Parks and Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Services, or related field
  • three years of full-time experience in recreation, special events, or sports programming
  • equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • valid Nevada or border state driver’s license
  • ability to obtain required certifications such as American Red Cross First Aid and CPR
  • desirable bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Develops recreation programs
  • coordinates and implements activities
  • schedules and evaluates services
  • supervises staff and volunteers on-site
  • manages special events
  • maintains safety and compliance standards
  • liaises with community partners
