With a portfolio of luxury, premium, and select service hotels and resorts worldwide, Marriott offers an environment that nurtures growth, innovation, and diversity. At the heart of Marriott’s operations is its dedication to equality and opportunity for all associates, creating a workplace where a diverse blend of cultures, talents, and experiences is celebrated and valued.
Within Marriott International, Westin Hotels & Resorts is a brand that prioritizes guest well-being and promotes a culture of health, vitality, and balance. Westin’s mission is to empower guests to regain control and enhance their well-being during their travels, enabling them to be the best version of themselves. To uphold this mission, Westin seeks passionate, active, and optimistic individuals who embody the brand’s spirit of adventure and wellness. Westin associates are encouraged to embrace well-being practices both professionally and personally, fostering a supportive environment for guests and colleagues alike.
The Recreation Attendant role at Westin is a vital position focused on enhancing guest experiences by encouraging participation in recreational activities and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable atmosphere. This role involves recruiting, registering, and scheduling guests for various recreation programs, while also providing detailed information about the available facilities and activities. It requires vigilance in promoting and enforcing safety rules and regulations, maintaining recreational equipment, and responding appropriately to emergencies according to established procedures.
Recreation Attendants serve as ambassadors of hospitality, warmly welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, and delivering service with genuine appreciation. They assist individuals with disabilities, process payments for rentals and activities, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. This role demands physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to lift and move equipment, navigate various terrains, and perform tasks that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
The position is suited for those with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with a preference for certifications in CPR, First Aid, and any other training mandated by local or state authorities. While prior work or supervisory experience is not required, the role calls for a commitment to safety, quality assurance, and teamwork. Associates must adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and contribute positively to the team’s shared goals.
At Westin, Recreation Attendants are integral to the brand’s success in becoming the preeminent wellness brand in hospitality. They play a direct role in bringing the brand's unique wellness programming to life, ensuring that every guest's stay is both memorable and beneficial to their well-being. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine a passion for wellness with excellent customer service skills in a vibrant and supportive environment.
Joining Marriott International as a Recreation Attendant means becoming part of a global team where diversity and personal growth are embraced. It is a chance to do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing team, and become the best version of yourself while contributing to a world-class hospitality experience.
