Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged and one year related experience or combination of education and experience
- must possess and maintain valid california or nevada driver license or obtain within 30 days of employment
- must be insurable under the tribe driving policy
- certification in first aid and cpr within 90 days of employment
- successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and background investigation
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed
- preference given to qualified native american indians
Job Qualifications

- ability to maintain confidentiality
- skill in operating business computers and office machines including word, excel, access, and presentation software
- ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of diverse social and cultural backgrounds
- knowledge of modern office practices and equipment
Job Duties
- Drive youths and adults in community assigned vehicles to scheduled field trips
- assist in maintenance of community center including cleaning lavatories, vacuuming, and sweeping
- assist in maintenance of wellness center, community park, and other community properties
- perform general cleaning duties such as setting up for events, maintaining exercise equipment, sweeping, and mopping
- assist with outdoor maintenance tasks including watering trees, weed control, and playground equipment upkeep
- carry out assigned administrative office duties including clerical and receptionist tasks
- oversee activities and chaperone participating youth for local events and field trips
- establish and maintain community inventory records and administrative files
- maintain cooperative relationships with tribal officials, community residents, and the general public
- organize, coordinate and evaluate youth activities, community events, and programs
- greet visitors, answer telephone calls, direct inquiries, and take messages
- process incoming and outgoing mail
- perform typing, copying, and duplication for community council and administrative office personnel
- prepare and distribute community council agendas and accurate meeting minutes
- implement policy for community vehicle and building use including scheduling and calendar maintenance
- perform other related duties as required
