The 92 Force Support Squadron at Clear Lake Resort, Fairchild Air Force Base (AFB), Washington, is a vital component of the United States Air Force's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program. Job Requirements

  • Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • may require working a variable schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • U.S. citizen or non-U.S. national who has resided in the U.S. territory for three or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of federal affiliation or has a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement
  • male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • direct deposit is required
  • satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • ability to provide a REAL ID or present authorized combination of source identity documents to facilitate installation access
  • pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD)
  • no payment for Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs
  • may be subject to a probationary period
  • selections may be subject to restrictions due to hiring preferences and priority consideration eligibilities

Job Qualifications

  • practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures
  • ability to safeguard and handle cash
  • skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable
  • no experience is required

Job Duties

  • Set up recreation areas for scheduled activities
  • record attendance
  • take reservations and payment for trips and tours
  • notify participants of schedule changes
  • arrange for equipment or tools, charge them out to participants, and check them for condition on their return
  • decorate community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities, or parties
  • string tennis or volleyball nets
  • line base lines and base paths
  • set up batting cages
  • check the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment
  • post announcements of scheduled activities and answer inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled
  • take inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment
  • help with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks
  • perform other related duties as assigned
