Job Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm
- excellent organizational skills
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to interact professionally with visitors and staff
- proficiency with office equipment and computer software
- must be an Ahtna shareholder
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- excellent customer service skills
- proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- familiarity with Alaska Native cultures preferred
- ability to pass background check and drug test
Job Duties
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and transfers calls to appropriate personnel or department
- takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
- welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate staff members, directs them to sign-in and assigns visitor badge
- provides general information in response to inquiries about Ahtna, its mission, activities or personnel
- organizes and maintains reception area to present a neat and efficient appearance
- assures that Ahtna marketing materials and other informational literature is current and available for visitors and members
- sorts, logs and distributes incoming/outgoing mail
- delivers time sensitive packages to shipping sources such as Fed-Ex, Alaska Air Cargo, Raven when necessary
- assists shareholders to complete documents as needed, logs received shareholder information and forwards to Shareholder Services Manager and Assistant
- maintains security for office by monitoring for suspicious characters
- assists in the preparation of Ahtna staff meetings and employee events
- uses computer for various applications such as word processing and excel
- performs other duties as assigned
