Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of previous work experience in a community-based health or social service setting
  • Prior AMS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of computer software programs preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess sight, hearing, and digital senses or use prosthesis to perform essential job functions
  • Ability to remain calm and be diplomatic
  • Strong decision making and judgment skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage the interceptor desk during clinic hours
  • Collect urine specimens in a randomized manner according to policy and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain urine specimen collection systems to ensure testing frequency
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors to appropriate staff or services
  • Use computer programs to flag patients for appointments and schedule services
  • Prepare all necessary forms, labels, and ledgers for laboratory specimen collection
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for pickup and maintain supply availability
  • Assist with reducing patient lines at the Nurse’s Station
  • Answer and direct phone calls as needed
  • Provide backup support for Medical Records as required
  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Report incidents and recommend improvements to supervisors
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor
