Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of previous work experience in a community-based health or social service setting
  • Prior AMS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of computer software programs preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to remain calm and be diplomatic
  • Good decision making and judgment skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Must possess sight, hearing and digital senses or use prosthesis that enable essential job functions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage the Interceptor Desk during clinic hours
  • Collect urine specimens from patients randomly in line with program policies
  • Maintain systems for urine specimen collection to ensure compliance
  • Greet visitors and patients and direct them to appropriate service areas
  • Use computer programs to flag patients for scheduling casework or medical appointments
  • Prepare all forms, labels, and ledgers required for specimen collection
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory pickup
  • Ensure supplies for specimen collection are available
  • Assist in minimizing lines at the Nurse's Station
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Provide backup support to Medical Records when needed
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Report incidents and recommend improvements to supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director
