The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) is a regional educational service agency dedicated to providing visionary leadership and effective, efficient services to constituent school districts, schools, and students within Montgomery County and surrounding areas. Job Requirements
- No post-secondary degree required
- 1-3 years of related experience
- bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
- originality of certificates of clearance from State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
- strong customer service skills
- excellent organizational skills
- ability to use technology to gain information and communicate
- friendly and helpful personality
- ability to work Monday through Friday for seven hours per day
- flexibility to work occasional evening hours
- ability to maintain safety and order in lobby area

Job Duties
- Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate office personnel
- receive telephone calls and route them to the appropriate personnel
- maintain a welcoming and friendly lobby atmosphere
- notify personnel of visitor arrivals
- direct visitors to meeting rooms
- answer and screen calls, monitor voicemail
- maintain brochures and handouts availability
- keep an updated telephone extension list
- accept mail and packages and notify relevant staff
- respond to emergency situations appropriately
- assist Support Services staff with administrative tasks
- project a positive image of the organization
- serve as backup support for other staff
- perform other related duties as assigned
