The Receptionist role at Trezevant Episcopal Home is pivotal as the initial point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff. This position requires a professional, courteous, and dependable individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities with efficiency and a positive demeanor. Serving as the face of the organization, the Receptionist must exemplify Trezevant’s core values through every interaction, whether via telephone communication, personal greeting, or administrative support. Key responsibilities include answering and routing incoming calls, monitoring status solutions for call lights, and performing clerical duties such as processing maintenance and IT orders. The Receptionist also plays an essential role in ensuring facility security by monitoring visitor entry and exit, managing sign-in procedures, and alerting security personnel to any suspicious activities or concerns.
In addition to these operational tasks, the Receptionist must maintain knowledge of fire and disaster plans, monitor the fire alarm panel, and communicate effectively during emergency situations. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle emergencies calmly, and excellent communication abilities that reflect care and respect towards residents and their families. Attendance at required training and in-service sessions is mandatory to stay current with policies and procedures. This position demands punctuality, reliability, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the geriatric community Trezevant serves. Job Requirements

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- One year prior experience in an office setting
- Familiarity with office procedures and telephone/voicemail systems
- Ability to work well with all people

Job Duties
- Answer all incoming phone calls and route appropriately
- Monitor status solutions for call lights
- Perform clerical duties and enter maintenance and IT orders
- Greet visitors and manage sign-in and sign-out procedures
- Alert staff of unidentified visitors and report concerns to security
- Monitor entrance and exit points to prevent unauthorized access
- Monitor fire panel and alert security of any alarms
- Attend required training and in-services
- Maintain knowledge of Trezevant’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Communicate with residents, families, and staff with courtesy and respect
