Job Requirements

  • Current valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • experience in a school or educational environment preferred
  • strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft products and Student Information Systems

Job Duties

  • Record and monitor daily attendance for in-person and online students
  • contact parents or guardians of absent or tardy students
  • follow up on unexcused absences and habitual tardiness
  • collect and securely store phones from late-arriving students
  • greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff throughout the day
  • answer phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate staff
  • manage sign-in and sign-out processes for visitors and students
  • address needs of students sent to the office for disciplinary or personal reasons
  • communicate with teachers or administrators regarding students in the office
  • document and track student visits related to behavioral or disciplinary issues
  • oversee community service tasks assigned by administration
  • maintain an organized and welcoming front office
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • handle general office upkeep including paperwork, mail, and deliveries
  • manage flow of students and parents while balancing multiple responsibilities
  • address questions about hybrid learning schedules and school procedures
  • assist with school events and special projects
  • communicate ongoing challenges and suggestions to office staff and administrators
  • monitor front entry for safety concerns
  • follow emergency protocols in lockdowns, fire drills, or other situations
  • serve as a central communication point for students, parents, and staff
  • distribute communication materials
  • maintain a positive and attentive front office atmosphere
  • perform other duties as assigned
