The Residence at Bedford, part of LCB Senior Living, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join their team. As a part-time Receptionist at The Residence at Bedford, you will be the welcoming face and voice of the community. Scheduled shifts are Thursdays from 4pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 8am to 4pm, offering flexible hours that could fit into various lifestyles. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one-year prior reception experience in an office environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely
  • Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds and perform various movements such as crouching, kneeling and reaching
  • Must use good body mechanics
  • Must be able to type and use a computer

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
  • Ability to handle incoming telephone calls and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner
  • Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Focused and dedicated to providing excellent customer service
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one-year prior reception experience in an office environment
  • Typing or word processing experience preferred
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling carts, and various movements
  • Ability to use computers and type

Job Duties

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
  • Actively grow community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude
  • Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • Greet guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • File correspondence
  • Sort mail
  • Record and type guest meal charges
  • Maintain and file resident safety sheets
  • Type correspondence as needed
  • Coordinate front desk activities
  • Maintain the front desk in a neat and orderly manner
  • Respond to emergency situations by contacting appropriate parties such as 911, fire department, police
  • Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations
  • Respond to residents needs in a courteous manner
  • Update the communication log book regularly
  • Maintain community brochures and stock
