This full-time role is located at the Leffingwell Rehab & Nursing center in Grand Rapids, within the Admin - Leffingwell RNC department, operating during daytime hours Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek. The shift runs from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., with variable weekend schedules.

The Receptionist position at Corewell Health is integral to the day-to-day operations of the facility, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for visitors, staff, and patients. This high-visibility role requires warmth, communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset to effectively greet, assist, and direct individuals to the appropriate resources within the center. Beyond greeting visitors, the receptionist is responsible for answering telephone calls with care and respect, relaying information accurately, and performing essential clerical tasks that support administrative functions. Special projects and documentation duties are also part of the role, requiring attention to detail and timeliness.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or high school student with working permit
  • less than 2 years of related experience in customer service, sales, recruiting, human resources, computer and data entry, telecommunications, health care, receptionist, call center, administrative, or clerical
  • ability to communicate effectively with visitors, staff, and patients
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to perform clerical duties accurately and timely
  • availability to work full time, Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
  • willingness to work variable weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent or high school student with working permit

Job Duties

  • Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff and/or patients, directing them to the appropriate resource
  • answer telephone and provide/relay information in a manner consistent with caring, respect, and individual needs
  • perform general clerical duties
  • complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction
  • ensure that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner
