By offering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital strives to foster recovery and improved quality of life for every patient who walks through its doors.

The position of Receptionist at Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital offers a pivotal role within a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment. The role is per diem, providing the flexibility to maintain work-life balance while being remunerated $18.00 per hour. Receptionists at this facility are integral to creating a welcoming and secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. They serve as the first point of contact, ensuring visitors are appropriately screened and directed, maintaining building security, and providing vital administrative support. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, organizational competence, and a proactive stance in managing front desk activities, including visitor management, communication facilitation, and mail handling.

Receptionists collaborate closely with the admissions coordinator, offering coverage during breaks and other periods as needed, thus ensuring seamless operational flow. Beyond visitor services, this role is responsible for logistics support such as securing wheelchairs for patient use and timely notifying nursing staff of visitor gifts. The receptionist is also tasked with monitoring the lobby and parking areas for any unusual behavior and reporting these observations to facilities management to uphold a safe environment.

Candidates for this role benefit from an extensive orientation program designed to facilitate a smooth transition into the hospital setting. Moreover, this position offers room for career advancement, where demonstrating skill and dedication may lead to potential full-time employment opportunities. The hospital advocates for employee well-being, extending benefits that support various facets of financial, emotional, and work-life balance. Part-time and per diem employees have access to a 401k plan based on hours worked, alongside an employee assistance program, underlining the organization’s commitment to fostering a supportive workplace culture.

Joining Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital means becoming part of a robust team comprising over 44,000 professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
