Job Description

The Highlands at Brighton, an affiliate of UR Medicine, is a leading transitional and long-term care facility known for providing an extensive range of specialty care services in the region. As part of the UR Medicine network, the facility benefits from a commitment to high-quality patient care, innovative health solutions, and comprehensive support services, making it a trusted choice for residents requiring specialized and continuous care. The Highlands at Brighton combines compassionate care with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for its residents through dedicated medical attention and personalized services. The facility prides itself on its inclusive and welcoming culture, emphasizing equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of its operations, including employment.

The Highlands at Brighton is currently seeking a Per Diem Receptionist to join their team. This role is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of the front desk and ensuring that residents, staff, and visitors receive excellent customer service. Initially, the position offers temporary full-time, interim coverage before transitioning into a flexible per diem role, which allows for varied scheduling based on the facility's needs. The role involves handling reception duties during the day shift, specifically from 7 am to 3 pm, offering competitive pay ranging between $16.50 and $22.00 per hour.

As a Receptionist at The Highlands at Brighton, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing hospitality and administrative support essential to the facility's daily operations. Your responsibilities will include answering calls, directing visitors appropriately, keeping accurate logs of admissions and discharges, and providing overhead announcements when necessary. Additionally, you will play a critical part in monitoring emergency and fire alarm systems, assisting effectively during emergencies by knowing the facility's emergency codes and protocols. This position requires an individual who is organized, communicative, and capable of managing multiple tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.

Working at The Highlands at Brighton means you will be part of a supportive environment that offers shift differentials, double pay on holidays worked, paid sick time, a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match, free on-site parking, and convenient bus-line accessibility. These benefits reflect the facility's commitment to employee well-being and job satisfaction. The position's flexible nature suits candidates seeking varied schedules and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a healthcare environment without committing to a full-time role long-term. This role is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic health care settings and prioritize delivering excellent customer service and operational support.
