General knowledge of computers and telephone systems
General word processing skills
Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

Answer, screen and forward calls to the appropriate extension
Greet and screen all visitors and direct to the appropriate area
Maintain visitor log
Provide overhead announcements when applicable
Maintain admission, discharge and medical transport logs
Monitor emergency panels and fire alarm panels
Assist in emergency situations, knowing facility emergency codes and emergency response procedures
