Job Description
Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Stockton, California, is a modern inpatient rehabilitation facility committed to restoring hope and function for patients recovering from life-altering injuries or illnesses. As part of the nationally recognized Ernest Health network, our hospital specializes in delivering advanced rehabilitative services tailored to complex conditions such as stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and recovery from orthopedic surgeries. We pride ourselves on a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach led by experienced physicians, rehabilitation nurses, and licensed therapists. Our team collaboratively crafts intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs designed to meet each patient’s individual needs and goals. Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including the Bionics Exoskeleton for advanced mobility therapy, the Bioness Integrated Therapy System supporting cognitive and physical rehabilitation, Chattanooga modality equipment for pain management and healing, and the LiteGait system to facilitate safe and effective gait training. Additionally, the hospital offers on-site services such as Modified Barium Swallow studies and pharmacy support to provide comprehensive, integrated care for our patients.
The hospital’s picturesque campus features carefully landscaped grounds with a serene lake, creating a peaceful and restorative environment for both patients and staff. Situated approximately two hours from the beach and the mountains, the hospital offers employees access to numerous leisure activities and a vibrant local community. Surrounded by cities such as Elk Grove, Lodi, Modesto, and Lathrop, Stockton provides an affordable cost of living, making it an attractive place to work and live. We foster a supportive, team-centered culture that values the expertise, well-being, and professional development of each employee.
We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is critical to ensuring smooth communication across the hospital by managing telecommunications including telephones, pagers, and radios to connect visitors, patients, families, staff, and callers efficiently. The Receptionist will also maintain records related to telecommunications like long-distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages while upholding the hospital’s mission and guiding principles. This position requires someone who demonstrates excellent computer skills, effective organizational and time management abilities, and superior written and verbal communication. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain quality and safety standards, handle confidential information responsibly, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support our mission of providing top-quality patient care. The hourly wage for this role is $23.10, reflecting the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors. Joining our team means becoming part of a dedicated group focused on service excellence and innovative rehabilitation care, where your contributions directly impact patient recovery and community health.
